Cada fila es un lugar real y la producción de mayor cobertura rodada allí. El orden procede de una sola cifra, el número de idiomas de Wikipedia en los que se describe esa producción, de modo que la clasificación es algo que usted puede comprobar y no una opinión que deba aceptar por confianza. Una película distinta en cada fila, 34 países, 1922 to 2023.

Qué cuenta aquí como escena
Wikidata registra que una producción rodó en un lugar. Nunca registra qué escena, así que una fila afirma un emparejamiento y nada más. Cinco reglas mantienen esos emparejamientos en lugares donde se podría estar:
- Solo lugares fijados a un punto concreto. Los rodajes que Wikidata registra de forma imprecisa, en algún punto de Praga y no en una dirección, están en el mapa pero no en esta clasificación.
- Solo lugares que Wikipedia describe en 8 idiomas o más, que es la diferencia entre una catedral y un bloque de oficinas que una vez acogió una cámara.
- Sin platós ni exteriores de estudio. Un estudio es donde se hizo una producción, no un sitio al que fue.
- Nada usado por más de 20 producciones. Un sitio tan concurrido es una instalación de trabajo, y no pertenece a ninguna de ellas.
- Una escena por producción, su lugar mejor documentado, de modo que cada fila sea una película distinta.
Cada fila dice además qué es el lugar, con las palabras de la propia Wikidata. Cuando la Wikipedia en inglés registra qué se rodó allí realmente, esa frase se cita bajo la fila y se enlaza al artículo del que procede: 88 de las 150 filas llevan una. El resto se detienen en el emparejamiento, porque la respuesta honesta ante una escena que nadie anotó es un espacio vacío.
La cobertura de Wikipedia mide cuánto se escribe sobre algo, que no es lo mismo que lo bueno que sea ni lo memorable que fuera la escena. Es simplemente la fama que este atlas puede contar.
